Album realizzato “in famiglia”, questo dei Bovet Brothers (piano, sax, batteria), cui si aggiungono due Friends per completare l’organico.

Quando nel nome della band c’è “And Friends”, possiamo immaginare che tipo di musica viene proposta. Una musica gioiosa e ben inserita nei solchi della tradizione. Non fa eccezione questo quintetto, che si diverte a giocare con echi ed ispirazioni del passato, più o meno espliciti, per confezionare un album di sincero bop. Con il metronomo che scandisce brioso, qualche accenno latino, un paio di ballads messe qua e là per dare respiro all’ascoltatore.

Musica da jazz club, da assaporare in compagnia, accompagnata da un buon boccale di birra.
