AA.VV.: Jazzkraut (Teutonal Jazz Rock Excursions)
Ci sono nomi già noti, come gli Embryo [qui con Charlie Mariano ospite], il tastierista Wolfgang Dauner o l'inossidabile Klaus Doldinger, così come troviamo i Guru Guru del percussionista Mani Neumaier in una versione "electric cha-cha-cha" vagamente santaneggiante e i dinamici Kraan, nonché i Munju, certamente da riscoprire.
L'onda fusion si abbatte sulle sponde teutoniche in anni di rock cosmico e di aperture psichedeliche e proto-elettroniche e questa miscela si sente in alcuni dei brani qui raccolti a cura di Bodo Jacoby della Promising Music.
Cose come "Osmose II" degli Annexus Quam non sfigurano certo nella linea di groove cosmico che unisce Miles Davis a Sun Ra, mentre più prevedibili sono le sortite degli Aera o del chitarrista Volker Kriegel.
Come quei dolci un po' stucchevoli, ma ghiotti, non è da ascoltare tutti i giorni, ma è una compilation ben fatta!
