L'amicizia che lega Domenico Sciajno al compositore elettronico americano Kim Cascone è di lunga data (vedasi tra gli altri A Book of Standard Equinoxes recensito qualche anno fa su queste pagine).

Quanto ascolterete in Hyaline - termine che può riferirsi ad una sostanza specifica priva di colore e trasparente - è musica in sequenze che si sviluppano ancora come un unico quadro, assemblato senza soluzione di continuità e senza tagli, coerente, cromaticamente e sonoramente denso in ogni sua parte.
