Alexander von Schlippenbach: Friulan Sketches

Musica improvvisata. Detto diversamente, musica composta istantaneamente, da tre artisti che si conoscono bene, ma che non suonano stabilmente in questa formazione e che, pertanto, hanno realmente esplorato la fecondità della loro interazione nel corso della registrazione.

Il trio è decisamente cameristico: Alexander von Schlippenbach, uno degli alfieri della musica improvvisata centroeuropea, al pianoforte; Daniele D'Agaro, che anche grazie alla sua pluriennale permanenza in Olanda con quella tradizione improvvisativa ha dialogato a lungo, al clarinetto (e quindi tralasciando del tutto il da lui più frequentato sax tenore); Tristan Honsinger, altro celebre esponente dell'avanguardia tedesca, al violoncello. Le atmosfere, altrettanto cameristiche: tempi perlopiù dilatati, cura dei suoni, dettagliatissima interazione. Pur con qualche influenza FMP, si potrebbe pensare a tanta musica tardo novecentesca. E anche a musica scritta, piuttosto che improvvisata. Un pregio, quest'ultimo, perché in fondo l'ideale della musica improvvisata è sempre quello di essere tanto ben realizzata da parere scritta, così come l'ambizione della musica scritta è sempre quello di esser così fresca e originale da sembrare improvvisata.

Registrata allo studio di Artesuono, nei pressi di Udine, il lavoro titola le sue venti parti (in gran parte piccoli quadri) con titoli classici italiani, così da apparire ancor più inserito nella tradizione della musica da camera. E come tale va preso, almeno a un primo ascolto, al quale si rivelerà più fruibile di tanta avanguardia contemporanea, più coerente e ricco di sfumature. Sarà allora che sorprenderà ricordare che si tratta invece di pura improvvisazione. E che farà ancor più piacere tornare a riascoltarla, cogliendone le connessioni e il senso, i suoni limpidi e le invenzioni.

Una superba prova di tre eccellenti musicisti, per un disco particolarmente ben riuscito che potrebbe essere una buona porta d'ingresso all'improvvisazione radicale per molti ascoltatori solitamente non avvezzi al genere.
