Dario Yassa Trio: Equilibrist
Il leader è il pianista Dario Yassa, autore di tutti i brani, ad esclusione della classicissima "I'm Gettin' Sentimental Over You" e dell'omaggio a Bill Evans "Peri's Scope" (peraltro rielaborato dalla sua penna). Uno stile disteso e swingante, il suo, nel quale la fluidità si accoppia ad una vena ritmica che impedisce intoppi anche su temi particolarmente distorti, come "Ea". Quando poi i brani si fanno più melodici, come in "Milleseicento Metri" e "Equilibrist", tutto diviene semplice ed armonico, fruibile e leggero.
Non mancano tuttavia momenti più complessi, sia dal punto di vista compositivo che esecutivo, ma tutto viene riassorbito dall'atmosfera di istintiva semplicità. Sebbene il trio non sia del tutto paritetico, è buono l'apporto dei due partner, la contrabbassista Alessandra Cecala (ascoltare i suoi assoli in "Lamine" e "Little Shy") e il batterista Andrea Migliarini, che supportano il leader con equilibrio.
Un buon esordio per tre musicisti da seguire.
