Gratkowski - Nabatov - Schmickler: Deployment
La competizione così innescata fra i tre porta una piacevole scintilla all'ascolto. Tutto scorre, certo, ma in modo imprevedibile, magari con un computer o un piano preparato che suonano come campane tibetane, mentre Gratkowski sta in disparte, nascosto, pronto poi a scagliare i suoi ruggiti, le sue proteste, la rua rabbia a ravvivare atmosfere che rischiano di scivolare verso la new age.
I tre improvvisano reagendo alle situazioni proposte reciprocamente, bravi a fare decollare il disco, nascondendo sapientemente percorsi e trame. A volte da musica concreta, come nel quarto movimento di "Allocation," altrove, ad esempio in "Cluster," appare più prepotente l'anima free. Un modo, il loro, di cercare il nuovo mettendo insieme componenti che in questo contesto appaiono in tutt'altra veste.
