Trio Scomparcini - Malaguti - Zemolin: Corde e Vocali
La prima cosa che si coglie è il clima seducente e raffinato che esplora un ampio repertorio di standard sia della tradizione jazzistica che del mondo latino-americano.
Maria Laura Scomparcini s'esprime con intimo appeal, è attenta ai valori fonici e musicali dei versi ed evidenzia le sue risorse espressive con un maturo gusto interpretativo.
Dopo aver studiato con Giovanna Marini e Lucilla Galeazzi ha operato in vari ambiti, dalla canzone popolare italiana fino al jazz (altra sua insegnante: Rachel Gould) con una particolare affinità per l'universo latino. Ha avuto modo di perfezionare le sue doti tecniche ma mostra sensibilità d'interprete e le sue versioni di celebri standard sono piacevoli ed efficaci.
Coi suoi partner la relazione è empatica e tutto scorre in un clima vagamente cool, dove c'è spazio per raffinati contrappunti e incisivi assoli.
I momenti pregevoli sono molti, a partire dal raffinato e un po' astratto duo con Malaguti (che mostra tutte le sue alte doti anche in ambito mainstream) in "Autumn Leaves," quello con Massimo Zemolin, sempre efficace, in "Turn Out The Stars".
Intensa e attrattiva l'interpretazione del trio in "O Que Serà" di Chico Buarque De Hollanda.
