Cooking an amazing meal is a little bit like making music with a band. You have to know what ingredients harmonize well together, and you have to understand what it takes to add just the right spice to come up with a truly mouthwatering end result. It's about the magic of chemistry, how various pieces develop into a sizzling whole.

Jambalaya 37 is a fantastic ensemble whose music combines the depth of acid jazz, but it also incorporates a wider range of influences, including world, fusion, and jazz. The arrangements of this project really stand out, particularly because of their dualism. On one hand, they are very sophisticated and direct, while on the other hand, they are quite diverse and instinctive, making for a very engaging approach. Based in Turin, Italy, Jambalaya 37 utilize their global inspirations to flesh out their infectious, colorful sound.

Cooking Groove is a richly nuanced record, much like a perfect recipe, full of unpredictable flavors that you wouldn't expect at a first glance. The musicians in this band are very talented, and they do an excellent job at playing off of each other's dynamics, creating a living, breathing sound.
