Julien Revilloud Trio: Carré d'As

Dopo aver trascorso un anno a Parigi, il chitarrista Julien Revilloud è tornato in Svizzera e ha deciso di mettere assieme un trio col quale proporre la musica che gli frulla in mente. Non fatevi ingannare dalla presenza di uno standard ben noto come "A Child Is Born": qui siamo piuttosto lontani dalla centralità esemplare di Jim Hall e Art Farmer.

Il linguaggio di Revillaud è nervoso e ironico al tempo stesso, i rimandi al passato sono pretesti per ricaricare la molla e proiettarsi nel futuro, alla ricerca di un posizionamento fuori asse che sembra piacergli assai.

Lo accompagnano nel percorso due capaci musicisti come Jean-Pierre Schaller e Raphaël Pedroli e il trio si allarga, in occasione del brano "Douro De Porto," facendo entrare in campo le suggestioni classiche e folk dei violini e del violoncello.

I brani sono tutti fra i quattro e i cinque minuti, piccole miniature che raccontano un mondo incantato che nasconde molto bene le proprie rughe e si presenta ogni mattina con la pelle fresca e morbida dei bambini paffutelli.
