This is a thoroughly pleasant trio recording led by California pianist/cosmetic surgeon David Kahn.

The touchstone here is clearly the great Bill Evans trio featuring Scott LaFaro and Paul Motian. Kahn and company (bassist John Witala and drummer Vince Latiano) do a fine job of capturing the quiet elegance and sophistication of Evans' group on a selection of standards plus one Kahn original.
