Prominent guitar virtuoso and producer Roman Miroshnichenko just finished production of his new material «Roman Miroshnichenko plays Stas Namin». The new album was out in July 2023 and will include Roman's original arrangements of 6 selected pieces and melodies composed by an Armenian, Russian and Soviet and composer and producer Stas Namin, who's mostly known as the leader of the popular Soviet music band "Tsvety" and founder of the "Gorky Park". «Roman Miroshnichenko plays Stas Namin»featuring such renowned musicians as 6-time Grammy award winning guitarist Mike Stern, Grammy award winning violinist Charlie Bisharat, The Guitar Queen - Jennifer Batten, London Symphony Orchestra (recorded at Abbey Road Studio), Dominique DiPiazza (ex-John Mclaughlin trio), Henrik Andersen, Frank Colón (Manhattan Transfer), Gumbi Ortiz from the Al Di Meola band, Djivan Gasparyan along with soloists from the Vladimir String orchestra. Building on the successful formula that birthed Roman’s previous albums, the band returned to the studio with the same team of award winning band members from his regular trio with electric bassist Oleg Kanakov and drummer Val Chernoók. When one listens to the powerful guitar playing of Roman Miroschnichenko, it is easy to be reminded of Al Di Meola and John McLaughlin during his Mahavishnu period, but it soon becomes apparent that Miroschnichenko has his own fusion sound, setting the standard for XXI century fusion guitar. While he is never shy to cut loose, he also uses subtlety, mood variations and creativity throughout, mixing together tight arrangements with pure spontaneity.
