Album Description

Timbre, noise, spatiality and exchange, permutation and heterogeneity. From the most precise qualities of an instrument, to almost the total loss of its identity - No comunica seeks to detain the moment where the specific edge of each instrument is dispossessed. It is an album that deforms the linguistic qualities of the sound object, being the instrument itself, its functionality, its tradition, or else what they share; In order to build a specific sound site for these five improvisers whose intention is to dismantle the discursive lines and inhabit a free space with multiple references. The Quintet is native from the city of La Plata. Last year they performed several concerts within the label and digital platform Numeral. (https://neue-numeral.bandcamp.com), as well as concerts of experimental music and mixed media (https://www.secslaplata.com/proyecto); and Site Specific format in expropriated factories (https://www.facebook.com/media/set/? vanity=neue.numeral&set=a.221012115955606) Once this instrumentation was consolidated, they have hosted international musicians from the free improvisation and noise scene like Albert Cirera (SP) and Dror Feiler (SWE). And emerging artists from the global scene such as Ingrid Frivold (NO) and Cyrill Ferrari (CH). No comunica is the first studio album of this quintet. Having already records of live performances, beginning of march 2020 they settled down the material as a Numeral production.
