Album Description

Olivier Collette : « The Heptone is the name I gave to the jazz club that I had the chance to acquire in 2009. It is a concert hall with a hundred seats located in Ittre, 30km south of Brussels. While looking for a name for the place, I was quickly inspired by its address : 7, rue Haute. The 7 has a direct link with music (the 7 notes). « Hepta » (meaning 7 in Greek) combined with the english word « tone » gives an imaginary word of 7 letters with 7 colours : H E P T O N E ». Heptone Colours has become the club's signature band, coming together every year to celebrate the venue's anniversary. But above all, it is a love story. The love between the 49-year-old uncle (Olivier) and his 18-year-old nephew (Eliott), the love between the musicians, some of them friends for almost 30 years...and above all their common love for jazz and their pleasure to share it with us; in this record but also every Sunday at the Heptone concerts.
