Album Description

Recorded in 2017, From the Blue Hills again, showcases the music of pianist and leader Simon Deeley. The eleven tracks all display Simon's trademark writing, with the driving Latin-Jazz of On a Wing and a Dance, and Hey! It's Samba de Hay, through the blues-infused, Jazz-Fusion of Soul of the West, and Celebration March, to the gentle, evocative statements of Ballad of the Blue Waters and Of Myths and Stones. And all is heightened by the powerful, full-bodied and imaginative playing of Sax player Martha Skilton. Music inspired by the hills of Wales.
