Oscillating between a punk ethos and a heartfelt delicacy, the unprecedented sound of BRIGADERA is making its echoes in the international creative music scene. The duo of Beatrice Sberna & Gabriel de Oliveira defines their music as impro-songwriting: influenced by Italian cantautori and Brazilian “folk” traditions, avant-garde jazz, and contemporary pop sensibilities. Following a first independent EP Verão é Neve (2021), they now announce their debut studio release for late 2025 - for which avant-punk “Alternative Scene” and chamber-folk “Mostro” have already been heard. In the last years, they have worked their way out from quirky jazz students to playing Bimhuis, Le Guess Who? and touring the EU with Wendy Eisenberg. Their current collaborations include leading voices of Dutch jazz, such as Sun-Mi Hong and Alessandro Fongaro, underground legends such as Manlio Maresca, and international features in the league of David Binney and Binkbeats.
