TriPod: TriPod
ByDrummer Steve Tobin drives home the pulsating rock rhythms while also augmenting the soloists' fervent interplay and circuitous time signatures. However, on this release the musicians conjure up a few well-stated grooves that often hearken back to the early 70's British Canterbury scene. Through it all, the band's thoroughly refreshing tactics and huge wall of sound provides the mark of distinction. Bass-icaly, the artists combine pop sensibilities along with a thrusting King Crimson-style attitude as progressive rock gets a college education here! Recommended.
