Educated in classical and improvised music, he is and has been performing with Tiger Okoshi, Lionel Loueke, Frank Möbus, Oscar Stagnaro, George Robert, Ronny Graupe, Christoph Grab and many more. Appearances on stages in New York, London, Prag, Berlin, Boston, Zürich and Bottenwil with his own bands or as a higly sensitive colleague supporting the musical intentions of fellow musician made him an adorable musician. He started at an early age with harmonica, accordion and piano. By the age of 15 he began his classical studies at Musikhochschule Basel (Switzerland) while already playing in bands and performing his own music

Niculin Janett

Born into a musical family in 1989, Niculin was exposed to the sounds of Miles Davis' trumpet before he even learned how to say "bebop". At the age of 10, he picked up the saxophone and never looked back. Since graduating from the Zurich University of Arts in 2013, Niculin has been playing in Switzerland and Europe with various groups, most recently with his own Quartet feat. Rich Perry.

Theo Kapilidis , guitarist and composer, Zurich (Switzerland) , was born in Greece. He was fortunate to grow up in a very musical family . During his childhood he spent much time in a record store of his father , which he came into contact with jazz early on. At the age of twelve years, Theo was playing the piano and devoted himself mainly to the guitar. The five-year jazz studies at the Swiss Jazz School in Bern (CH ) , he finished successful at age of 25 . After graduating gave Theo countless jazz concerts and participated in a variety of other projects . In 1985 he returned to his hometown , where he worked as a studio musician and has taught at the Synchronous Conservatory of Thessaloniki

Jean-Paul Brodbeck

At the tender age of 15, Basel (Switzerland) born Jean-Paul Brodbeck was invited by no other than Lionel Hampton to jam onstage. After taking jazz classes with Hans Feigenwinter, he went on to study classical music with Peter Efler (piano) at the Conservatory of Music in Basel, from which he graduated with excellence in 1995 and earned his piano teacher’s diploma. Since then Brodbeck has proved his stylistic versatility in diverse formations. He was one of the principal founders of the experimental hip-hop group Chapter 12 and has been collaborating on and off with Andy Scherrer, who has considerably contributed to his musical development

Besides being passionate musicians, SONAR’s four members Stephan Thelen (guitar), Bernhard Wagner (guitar), Christian Kuntner (electric bass) and Manuel Pasquinelli (drums) have backgrounds as diverse as performance art, software engineering, and mathematics, all adding to the eclectic mix of influences that make up this truly unique band. The group SONAR was born in 2010. The two Zürich-based guitarists Stephan and Bernhard met one evening when Stephan was playing and Bernhard was in the audience. They immediately found that they shared many common interests, so it wasn’t long before they started playing together

During his early years, he spent time in Los Angeles (USA) to gain professional experience and to study with members of the legendary Frank Zappa Band. Upon his return to Switzerland he consequently followed the multiple aspects of music from different cultural backgrounds. He initiated a large number of projects and worked with musicians from all over the world. Alessandro D'Episcopo

Alessandro d’Episcopo was born in Naples. Italy. Already at the age of 13, he decided to devote his life to music and to become a jazz musician. He studied classical music at the Conservatory of San Pietro a Majella in Naples. In 1979, he moved to Milano, which was the heart of the Italian jazz at that time. Chick Corea and Keith Jarrett have influenced d’Episcopo formation since his earliest youth as vivid examples for musical diversity and curiosity. He has worked with various musicians such as: Tullio De Piscopo, Larry Nocella, Gigi Cifarelli, Chet Baker, Tony Scott, Gianni Basso, Billy Cobham, Toots Thielemans
