Zubin Edalji
A finalist in the 2015 Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition and the 2013 Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, Zubin Edalji is an ambitious and versatile trumpet player, composer, and teacher based in Chicago.
Zubin has been mentored by some of the world's greatest musicians such as Tito Carrillo, Ralph Alessi, Laurie Frink, Brian Lynch, and Kenny Werner. His teachers played an integral part in developing his musicianship — evident through his trumpet sound, original compositions, and arrangements. Zubin has been honored to perform at iconic venues like the Blue Note (New York), the Jazz Gallery (New York), the Blue Frog (Mumbai), and at Chicago clubs like Andy's, Jazz Showcase, Green Mill, and Fulton St. Collective. He has also played on the stages of international festivals like the Siena Jazz Festival, the Matera Jazz Festival, the Elba Jazz Festival, and the Chicago Jazz Festival.
