Slow the Band

Slow the Band, a Poland based group of passionate jazz musicians fresh off of recent shows across Middle Europe, celebrates their first concert album, Live in Dresden, released May 2024.
To the surprise of its 2 founding members - guitarist Tomasz Kaczmarczyk and pianist Krzysztof Werminski - what started as a hobby musical adventure in 2010 has since turned into a serious fusion jazz project involving some of the finest Polish musicians around. The surprises continue with enthusiastic international reviews after each new release.

YOLA WESOLOWSKA - composer, singer, pianist, performer . She studied music at the University of Lodz, from which she graduated in 1980. Master's thesis written under the guidance of the great Polish music theorist Prof. Franciszek Wesolowski. She studied composition with prof. Bernard Pietrzak and classical singing with prof. Izabela Kobus. She completed postgraduate studies at the Academy of Music in Wrocław. Participation in competitions, festivals and concerts in Poland and abroad incl. Kamil Abt

Kamil Abt is a Polish-Australian jazz guitarist, composer, band-leader and arranger. He is a graduate of the prestigious Elder Conservatorium of Music and has been performing internationally – in Australia, Japan and Europe – for over twenty years. His musical career started in Australia, in Steve Mooney’s hard bop quintet, “Fifth House”. It was there that he also led his own jazz formations: Mosholu Parkway, Jazzyowski and SpeciaL K, also working with musicians such as Adam Page, Daniel J. Ross, Constantinos Koutsouliotas and John Wilson. In Japan he worked in renowned alto saxophone player Hiroshi Yaginuma’s quintet as well as with the Atsushi Matsunaga quartet, while also leading his own quartet

Anna Rejda

Polish jazz vocalist, songwriter and improviser, Anna Rejda’s music features a sensual timbre of voice, impeccable phrasing and atmospheric sounds featuring instrumental arrangements.
Rejda played the accordion and French horn as a child, but decided that playing in a symphony orchestra was not her vocation. Studying the horn at the Academy of Music in Wroclaw, she was quickly appreciated for her natural vocal talent and passion for jazz, which she uses in her cooperation with Aleksander Mazur's Big Band and The Sound Office quartet.
