Christopher White

Dr. Christopher K White (BMI) is alto saxophone, soprano saxophone, flute, composer.

Born in Northern California, Christopher White grew up in small town America where he found musical success early, playing his first professional gig at age 10. An eclectic musician, he studied conducting, saxophone and composition while performing in the studios and club scenes of Los Angeles. His education and teaching career have led him across the country: California to Kansas, Baton Rouge to Boston, Montana to Maine, and finally to his home in Virginia. Along the way he has conducted and soloed with orchestras, bands and jazz ensembles from coast to coast. He has instructed every level of music from pre-school to doctoral students and performed with such diverse musicians as the Stan Kenton Orchestra, Ringling Brothers Circus, Whitney Houston, Ben E. King, Richie Cole as well as the Baton Rouge and Billings Symphonies and Los Angeles Philharmonic Institute. Popular as a clinician and dedicated to education, he continues to perform and compose extensively. He holds degrees from Kansas State University (Ph.D), University of Louisiana-Lafayette (MM) and California State University-Northridge.

Olivia Bignardi

Since 1990, Olivia Bignardi has worked with Bologna Laboratory for Music and Image, Fastilio, Roncati Banda, Eva Kant, the label Erosha, the Popular School of Music Ivan Illich. In recent years she has collaborated with the Sicilian composer and pianist George Occhipinti in "Sequences Duo," the quartet "Less of Five" (with A. and G. Moncada Guarrella) and the Global Music Nonet. She writes music for Hawks, Clarinet 4, Tense.

In 1999, she jined the Klezmer clarinet ensemble Dire-Gelt. She has worked with leading theater companies such as Theatre Valdoca in "Central Fire", released in "What a beautiful day," Company Babbaluck in "Monsieur Babbaluck" and "Christmas at Babbaluck, Reon theater with the actress Anna Redi" Lola ", participating in numerous performances of the festival Santarcangelo of the Theatres. Todd DelGiudice

Born:

Todd DelGiudice grew up in south Florida where he studied clarinet with Richard Hancock of the Florida Philharmonic and saxophone with Professor Gary Keller of the University of Miami. Todd is a graduate of the University of Miami, where he received a Bachelors of Music as well as a Masters of Music under instruction of Gary Keller, Gary Campbell (saxophone), William Klinger and Margaret Donahue (clarinet). During this time he performed professionally with The Florida Philharmonic, The New World Symphony, Ray Charles, The Woody Herman Big Band and Natalie Cole among many others. While still an undergrad at UM, Todd became a featured member of one of Red Rodney's last working quintets

Joris Roelofs

Joris Roelofs (1984) is a (bass) clarinetist, saxophonist and composer from Amsterdam. He was a member of the Vienna Art Orchestra from 2005 – 2010. Joris finished his masters at the Conservatory of Amsterdam in 2007, and lived in New York City between 2008-2011. In 2001 he won the Pim Jacobs Prize, and in 2003 he was the first non-American to receive the Stan Getz/Clifford Brown Fellowship Award in the US, organized by the IAJE. In 2004 Joris received the first prize of the prestigious Deloitte Jazz Award in the Netherlands. In 2008 he was selected for the Thelonious Monk International Saxophone Competition

Larry Ankrum

Larry Ankrum is an American jazz musician and composer. He plays tenor, alto and soprano saxophones, flute, alto flute, piccolo, and clarinet. He grew up in a musical family in Minnesota and began studying music at the age of 8. He started playing professionally when he was only 12 years old. In addition to The Larry Ankrum Quartet, performance credits include The Albert-Ankrum Project, Karrin Allyson, The Temptations, Prince, Higher Ground, Kermit Ruffins, Penny Mathisen, Annette Wardell, Peter Fisher, Leslie Blackshear Smith, The Naked Orchestra, New Orleans Street Beat, Chubby Carrier and the Bayou Swamp Band, Charmaine Neville, Kevin Odegard, and Red Gallagher. As a leader, he has released albums on the CDL, Fora Sound, and Lakefront Digital record labels

I have also been the Director of Bands, Choir, and Orchestra for the past 34 yrs. at Sexton and Everett High Schools in Lansing, Michigan. I am presently also the Minister of Music at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Lansing, Mi. where I have served in this position for the past 14 years.

Peter Lutek

Peter Lutek is a gentle human, living with his wife on a small, garden-filled plot of land amidst the bustle of urban life in Toronto, Canada. He makes sound with reed instruments, electronics, and the occasional power tool; his sourdough is relatively quiet. Peter has been active in a wide range of musical performing for nearly half a century; in the end, he is most at home in improvised contexts. Currently, Peter is playing with the Avi Granite 6, and Ben Caplan, while developing his own in-studio projects. His unique voice is also expressed in beginning-to-end production roles for ENGINE (Peter Lutek), 40 fingers (saxophone quartet), Riverrun (Tom Richards), Storytime (Rob Mosher), Joseph Petric, and David Mott.
