Webb Thomas

Drummer, multi percussionist Webb Thomas is by no means a stranger to jazz circles in the tri-state area. His group 'Webb T's Fleet has received rave reviews at the Mellon Jazz fest and the Cape May Jazz fest. An extraordinarily versatile drummer, Webb has made quite a name for himself locally, nationally and abroad. He has been a promoter for Philly's premier jazz club Zanzibar Blue, where he has appeared with Doug Carn, David 'Fathead' Newman, Jane Bunnett and the Spirits of Havana and most recently with 'Mr. Killer Joe' himself, and Benny Golson.

Thoughts on Charles Fambrough's Funeral

Like St. Peter's in New York City, the Lutheran Church of the Holy Communion at 2110 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia is fast becoming this city's “jazz church" with a potent jazz ministry. All About Jazz & Jazz Near You were built to promote jazz music: both recorded and live events. We rely primarily on venues, festivals and musicians to promote their events through our platform. With club closures, shelter in place and an uncertain future, we've pivoted our platform to collect, promote and broadcast livestream concerts to support our jazz musician friends. This is a significant but neccesary effort that will help musicians now, and in the future. You can help offset the cost of this essential undertaking by making a donation today. In return, we'll deliver an ad-free experience (which includes hiding the bottom right video ad). Thank you.
