JoGo Project
The JoGo Project is an ensemble based in Washington, DC dedicated to preserving and promoting DC's indigenous music - Go-Go. JoGo was formed in 2014 by Elijah Jamal Balbed - a DC native and Saxophonist who performed with The Godfather of Go-Go Chuck Brown from 2011 until Chuck's passing in May of 2012. JoGo continues in the tradition of Chuck Brown by keeping the Jazz elements prominent in the music. Known for a high-energy performance, strong vocals, and one of the baddest percussionists around, JoGo will have you on your feet and sweaty by the end. Bring your dancing shoes and a towel - you'll need it! And don't forget, Jazz + Go-Go = JoGo. A band trying to keep Jazz and Go-Go musics alive, while making the world a better place

Robert is joined by his brother Reggie Ellis on Keys/Synths, Darion Duncan on Bass/Key Bass, Jheremy “Jay MusicMan” Thompson on Drums and newest member Josh Porter (not pictured) on Lead Guitar. The LiveWires formed in April of 2017 as a passion project for this group of musicians who simply loved playing together. Matthew Shell (also known as MTS), is a music producer and engineer. Based in Washington DC, his versatile production style spans genres as wide as jazz and rock, to RnB and soul. Matthew writes and produces music released as solo productions under his own name, as well as for other bands and solo artists. He is the founder and CEO of publishing house and record label MTS Music. Shell’s work on the production for Marcus Johnson’s album Flo: Chill reached #7 on Billboard Top Contemporary Jazz Chart in 2009. Later that year he worked as the engineer on O.A.R.’s album Rain or Shine that reached #5 on the Independent Albums Chart and also #7 on the US Alternative Albums Chart

Hailing from New York/Washington, DC area, Les Rhinocéros delivers a crazy world in sound, blending aspects of rock, world music, noise, ambient and jazz. Described as "world music from a country that doesn't exist", the group was formed in 2008 by bassist and composer Michael Coltun and has developed since then into an intense and wildly imaginative group that takes music to its extremes. Emotional, minimalistic, intense and grooving, this is music that goes beyond imagination to the edges of sanity.
