He was born in Istanbul in 1987 and lives here. In 2016, by establishing its own company VOLKAN KAPLAN PRODUCTION, it aims to produce quality music from "traditional to future". He also supported the release of the albums of other artists he was the music director of. In 2018 - 2020, he realized his own album projects “Berhava”, An duo “Mozaik”, Harabat Trio “Tadımlık”, Mail Quartet “Live Records 1 & 2”, “Bize Kalan Miras (2-CD)” along with promotional concerts. Apart from these albums, besides the album named "Maya", which consists of the students he trained in Volkan Kaplan Baglama Course, he also published album works such as "Henna Folk Songs" and "Childrens Folk Songs"
