Volkan Kaplan

He was born in Istanbul in 1987 and lives here. In 2016, by establishing its own company VOLKAN KAPLAN PRODUCTION, it aims to produce quality music from "traditional to future". He also supported the release of the albums of other artists he was the music director of. In 2018 - 2020, he realized his own album projects “Berhava”, An duo “Mozaik”, Harabat Trio “Tadımlık”, Mail Quartet “Live Records 1 & 2”, “Bize Kalan Miras (2-CD)” along with promotional concerts. Apart from these albums, besides the album named "Maya", which consists of the students he trained in Volkan Kaplan Baglama Course, he also published album works such as "Henna Folk Songs" and "Childrens Folk Songs". At the beginning of 2021, he is publishing his first instrumental album, "Baglama Azerbaijan", by adapting his instrumental Azerbaijani works, which he had performed with Tar for years, into Baglama. In 2022, he prepared his second solo album "serencam" for publication. In 2024, he formed the Kardeş Yollar group with Azerbaijani folk artist Nuriyye Hüseynova. They laid the foundations of the project called "Two Saz" by recording with Changiz Mahdipour, an ashiq saz master from Tabriz. He released his third solo album called "Serhava" in the first quarter of 2025. They released a live album recording in a duet with Iranian clarinetist Saeid Karami. In 2026, they recorded a live album (The Anatolian & Caspian Suites) with the Rembrandt Trio at the famous Wisseloord Studios in the Netherlands.
