NapoleoniRosati is a songwriting Jazz project, with Italian lyrics, born in 2012 in Rome, from the collaboration between the singer Paola Rosati and pianist Francesco Napoleoni. Their music has a strong jazz and latin impression, with many influences of Jazz authors such as Lelio Luttazzi, Paolo Conte, Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Moby, Sergio Caputo, Gregory Porter, Bruno Martino. The songs come directly from the experience of life of the duo and express a wide range of emotions; the compositions are packaged to be the fair comment to the lyrics, ranging from light-hearted and playful to introspective and melancholy

Paul Gerni

Kansas City based baritone vocalist. Getting his start years ago in Indiana, Paul sings "The Great Songs of the Great Singers" and features a pleasing mix of songs and standards made popular by the likes of vocal greats like Frank Sinatra, Tony Bennett, Nat King Cole, Mel Torme, Bobby Darin, Ella Fitzgerald, Diana Krall, Michael Buble, Peggy Lee, Louis Armstrong, Billy Eckstine, Arthur Prysock, Johnny Hartmann and many more. Paul performs mostly in Kansas City, but has also sung for appreciative audiences in Fort Worth, Texas, in Chicago, Denver, Stockholm, and Las Vegas. MichalBeckham

A native of Philadelphia, Michal Beckham is one of the most exciting jazz vocal artists in the jazz arena today. A graduate of the Phila. Public School System, Michal is the product of Philadelphia's Germantown Settlement School of Music and a graduate of the Berklee College of Music in Boston,Mass. Michal toured France,Italy,Germany,Spain,Belgium and Switzerland with jazz legend Clark Terry's Big Band,also with the late Grover Washington jr. and also with "The Pieces of a Dream" Band. On one occasion, Michal toured Turkey, Paris and Belgium with group made up of Turkish musicians. Janice Jarrett

Eliza Pope

There is absolutely nothing misguided or foolish about Call Me A Fool, the astonishingly assured debut album from 20-year-old Toronto jazz/pop songstress Eliza Pope. To be launched at local jazz hub The Jazz Bistro on May 19, it introduces us to a young artist of immense potential. The idea of even making a record arose spontaneously last summer, Pope recalls. "I had a gig with [ace bassist] Ross MacIntyre and [guitarist] Nathan Hiltz, and I was picking Ross' brain as to the next best step for an artist in my situation," Eliza recalls. I started singing on the club scene aged 17 but when I first heard jazz in my early 20's I became an avid fan and from then on, have only been interested in singing this type of music. I undertook summer schools and jazz workshops with incredible vocalists like Sheila Jordan and Mark Murphy, who has been my favorite singer throughout my life. Over the past few years I have sung at Jazz Clubs and Festivals across the UK and last year had a sell-out show at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe with my show 'Mary May sings Bilie Holiday' and this year I recorded my debut CD 'This is What You Are.' This year we return to the fringe with a new show 'Lady Jazz'.

Wendy Simon

Evalina Everidge is a torch singer in the timeless old school tradition. Her sultry vocal stylings evoke a soft embrace and her smooth delivery swings! While the musical influences reflected in her sound range from Peggy Lee, Nancy Wilson, Blossom Dearie, and Sarah Vaughn, to Maria Maldaur and Bonnie Raitt, make no mistake, her vocal style is her own. Nina Mkhize

Born: February 13, 1980

She grew up in the Southern township of Umlazi in Durban. She was introduced to music by her mother who sang jazz, marabi, mbube and revolutionary songs around the house while growing up. Noticing her reaction and interest to her singing, her mother urged her to perform for family, friends and relatives at various gatherings. It is however when she started high school that she found courage to explore the art of performance as a full time career thus leading her to form a group SWV with friends imitating the American girl group of the same name.
