Lucia Cadotsch

Born: February 23, 1984

Lucia Cadotsch, born in Zürich, Switzerland is a vocalist, lyricist and songwriter based in Berlin. She is best known for long-standing collaborative bands that currently include LIUN + the Science Fiction Band, an ensemble co-led with the saxophonist Wanja Slavin, AKI, a new quartet with the pianist Kit Downes, bassist Phil Donkin and drummer James Maddren and her acclaimed chamber trio Speak Low, with Petter Eldh on upright bass and Otis Sandsjö on tenor saxophone, which has performed at festivals in Berlin, New York and London. Lucia’s diverse output as a musician can be heard on a total of ten albums she has released since 2009. Her awards as a singer include the Swiss Music Price (2023), the German Jazz Award (2021), the ECHO Jazz Award (2017) and the New German Jazz Price (2012).

Cissa Paz

Born in Belgium by chance, Cissa was raised mostly in Rio de Janeiro. She began her musical love affair by spending afternoons with the sounds of Caetano Veloso, Gilberto Gil, Elis Regina and other Brazilian greats coming from her parents’ record player. She would get home after school and rush to the vinyls, memorizing all her favorite lyrics. She absorbed every note, riff, and samba beat. Her musical tastes matured as she kept sampling the musical diversity of the world. Cissa’s passion for music started with dance, she studied ballet, jazz, modern dance and the urban styles of samba and salsa, leading her to perform and teach later on

Judith Nijland

Judith is a jazz singer and composer. She likes to create stories and songs. And her concerts are little journeys with food for thought and a lasting smile. FROM CLASSICAL LANGUAGES TO JAZZ Judith is music. Starting at a young age she participated in talent shows with her own songs. The piano at home is often played and used for private try outs and classical lessons. After graduating in Greek and Latin, Judith studied Jazz at the Royal Conservatory in the Hague. She now mainly focusses on writing her own material and creating new versions of old songs. Jazz remains her true love.
