Anna Kolchina

Born: March 8, 1984

Anna Kolchina was born on March 8, 1984, in Ufa, Republic of Bashkortostan, Russia. From a young age, she was drawn to the arts, exploring theater and dance, while also studying classical piano with Evgeny Bloshchitsky at Music School No. 1, named after Nariman Sabitov.

Her introduction to jazz came through her older brother, a saxophonist, who shared with her a few classic jazz records by Count Basie, Charlie Parker, and John Coltrane. The music fascinated her with its complexity, emotion, and freedom. 

Inspired by her brother, Anna pursued formal jazz studies and enrolled in the Jazz Department of the Ufa College of Arts. There, she studied under vocal teacher Svetlana Slyaguzova, who played a significant role in her musical development, and worked closely with pianist Alina Kruglikova, who introduced her to an extensive collection of jazz records, which became the cornerstone of her early exposure to jazz.

Dudley Music

Dudley Music is a Long Island-based Hip Hop singer-songwriter, producer, and jazz musician, playing saxophone, keys, guitar, drums, flute, and clarinet. His debut EP, On My Way, was released in the Spring of 2016. With support from Talib Kweli, an extended version of the project was made available at Talib's online store, KweliClub.com.

Rachel Caswell

Jazz vocalist Rachel Caswell is known for her improvisational prowess, her pinpoint accuracy of pitch and rhythm, and her depth of delivery and interpretation of popular song. Her most recent recording, We’re All in the Dance (2018), features some of New York’s top performers including Dave Stryker, Fabian Almazan, Linda May Han Oh, Johnathan Blake, and Sara Caswell. Mark Sullivan of All About Jazz writes, “This is a great band….Caswell is the star, but she’s no diva. She is much better than that: a jazz musician in the company of other jazz musicians.” Her CD All I Know: Duets with Dave Stryker & Jeremy Allen (2015) elicited the following response from jazz vocalist Sheila Jordan: “Rachel is a wonderful singer with a deep feeling and a fantastic improvisational talent complemented by a lovely rich sound.” And in response to Rachel’s debut CD Some Other Time (2003) with Lynne Arriale, Kelly Sill, Steve Davis, and her sister, violinist Sara Caswell, internationally renowned jazz pedagogue David Baker said, “Rachel Caswell is that rara avis who is truly a jazz vocalist

Maria Schafer

She has performed in some of the biggest jazz festivals and venues in North America, Europe, and Japan while firmly establishing a home base in Los Angeles.

Two years spent touring full-time as the star female vocalist of the international Glenn Miller Orchestra have cultivated an alluring and honest stage presence, while her albums To Know Love and No Broken Hearts garner weekly airplay on international and domestic jazz radio stations alike, including L.A.'s KKJZ 88.1.

Kathleen Potton

Though the title of her debut album, NERO, is a winking homage to the influential Laura Nyro, Australian-born singer-songwriter Kathleen Potton isn't interested in simply paying tribute. Instead, Potton has imbibed the lessons of Nyro, Joni Mitchell, Kate Bush and other singular female songwriters both musically and in the distinctive paths they have cleared through diverse genres, and created a compelling, revealingly personal travelogue of her own journey in music. NERO comes at the dawn of a promising career.
