Gwen Sampé
Gwen Sampé is a jazz singer for whom the art of improvising is an integral and indispensable part of her musical soundscape. Born into a family of singers in Houston, Texas her approach to jazz singing is rooted in the past yet unapologetically modern.
Nurtured on John Coltrane and Betty Carter, she brings surprise and daring to her performances. Her artistic background is rich and diverse. As well performing on the jazz circuit, she has also performed in, and directed, contemporary jazz inflected mixed media theatre pieces, including a self-produced one woman show, “From the Fields to the Concert Hall,” first performed in Italy.

26 year old Kathleen is one of a new generation of exciting young singers. From a musical family, she started playing the violin at the age of 4. It soon became apparent that she was a natural at both the violin and singing and pursued both instruments along with the piano until the end of her schooling (although she never took singing lessons). Instead at 13, she joined the ranks of the National Youth Jazz Orchestra and sang with both their first and second bands for 7 years. At the age of 18 she applied to the Royal Academy of Music and was accepted as one of only two vocalists on the jazz course, run by Graham Collier

Dale Denise McClenton, A.K.A. Lady Dale is a native of Philadelphia, PA and has been singing since childhood. A classically trained vocalist, she earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Music Education from Bennett College; an Historically Black College for women in Greensboro, North Carolina. While studying at Bennett College she was under the leadership of Dr. Gloria Dean Randle Scott, the 12th president of the institution. Lady Dale also earned a Masters of Education Degree from Cheyney University. Lady Dale uses her education and musical talents to serve a multitude of purposes. She has studied vocal techniques with The Singer’s Workshop, (under the direction of Devonne Gardner) and she was a member of the prestigious Paul Roberts Singers

Sofia Laiti
Singer and recording artist Sofia Laiti was born in Lapland, the unique society in the northernmost arctic area of Finland. Since early childhood, she had a strong desire to use her voice to entertain. "My mother and father told me I was singing as soon as I could talk!" As a teenager, Sofia studied classical music in the Music Conservatory at Kuopio, in the east of Finland, paying close attention to great classical vocalists. Here, she developed a solid musical foundation upon which to build her career. With this background, Laiti evolved from classical to jazz, and made her move to Helsinki, the music capital of Finland

She has captivated audiences at music festivals, concert venues, jazz clubs and private social events. She has held long term engagements at many premier area hotels including Omni, Hyatt Regency, Hilton, Radisson, Sheraton, Belvedere, Renaissance and has performed at scores of first-rate venues, including Blues Alley, Bohemian Caverns, Pier Six Concert Pavilion, Ethel's Place, Eubie Live!, New York's West End Club, Charlie's Georgetown, Gatwick Hilton Hotel UK.
Marten partnered with pianist/composer Clem Ehoff to co-write and produce several award-winning recordings. She has worked with scores of jazz legends and notables including Larry Willis, Cyrus Chestnut, George Colligan, Charles Covington, Richard Johnson, Unified Jazz Ensemble, Carl Grubbs, Eric Kennedy, Blake Meister, Larry Brown, Dick Durham, Bob Diener, Billy Colucci, Tim Murphy, Reuben Brown, Todd Simon, Benny Waters, Odonel Levy, Steve Novosel, Greg Hatza, Darius Scott, Tom Lagana, Herman Burney, Amy Shook, Eric Wheeler, Grant Menefee, Gary Grainger, Ron Kearns, Sam King, Arnold Sterling, Benny Waters and on and on—so many other great musicians.
