Mark Robinson

Jazz singer Mark Robinson draws his major inspiration from the Great American Songbook, and lovers of jazz and cabaret singing are drawing inspiration from Robinson's recently released CD, Some Small Dive. Coral Egan

Jazz, R&B, folk, pop, soul, reggae - Coral has explored them all, and it’s that eclectic approach to music that has shaped the sounds found on both My Favorite Distraction and its successor, Magnify, again produced by Charles Papasoff. Coral’s is a unique, hybrid style, accented by bittersweet melodies and a certain solemnity, but lifted by a healthy dose of humour and observation. Her incredibly personal songs have lyrics to match, and while firmly rooted in her jazz heritage, Coral incorporates such a wealth of sounds on her recordings that it frees her from any particular genre. The recording features performances by some of Montréal’s finest musicians, including drummers Sam Harrison and Tony Albino, bassist Al Baculis and singer/guitarist Jay Atwill, who also co-wrote a number of the songs.

Diane White

The rich laughter that punctuates Diane White’s speech at regular intervals conveys a great deal about her personality: she is exuberant, passionate and sensual. Diane loves life and the arts; nowhere is that love better expressed than in her music, which she has been performing since the age of three. Diane was fortunate to be born into a family who valued the discipline and intellectual stimulation provided by studying the arts. The White’s enrolled their daughter in Russian Ballet and piano, providing her with the strong foundation that underlies her considerable talent as a jazz vocalist and musician. Diane began her musical journey as an instrumentalist, developing a strong attachment to the growling sounds of the trombone; it took the persistence of a music teacher to push the dedicated brass musician into joining her high school vocal jazz ensemble

Nandita Dias

Nandita began her vocal training with Indian classical singing and went on to train in western classical music. She found her natural talent and artistic passion in jazz. Today she sings in English, Spanish, Portuguese, French and Indian languages. This dynamic young woman has been performing since the tender age of ten. She is also a song-writer and has a variety of original material. Nandita juggles a very busy schedule. She is completing a double major in English and Spanish and a minor in French at the University of Toronto. She also teaches grade twelve English and is the President of OLAS (The Organization of Latin American Students at U of T). Nandita is always eager to share her talent with an audience

Born in San Diego, California, multi-lingual jazz vocalist Allison Adams Tucker began singing before she could speak. Allison was raised by classically trained musical parents, and began performing in front of audiences at age 5. She studied piano, flute, violin, dance and voice from elementary school and holds a BA in Linguistics / Music Vocal Performance and an AA in Italian. Allison's vocal palette has been colored by her experience in a variety of musical genres throughout her life, from a cappella Elizabethan madrigals to punk rock to country to commercial jingles. Since 2005 Tucker has found the most natural fit to be jazz. In jazz she found a freedom of expression and intellectual tilt she hadn’t experienced in other genres.

Earl Lee

Born: March 27, 1962

Earl has been singing for most of his life. He spent many years in choirs and has created a niche for himself amongst the St .Louis music scene. He has been the leadman in various bands such as Encore, Street Corner, Alternations Band, Sweet Earl and the Sidetracked, Rhythm Rockers and many more. Earl's voice will soothe a crowd one moment and get them on their feet the next. He keeps the vibe all night long.

Jan Eisen

Entertainment is no stranger to this vocalist.
