Joanna Turich

Joanna has extensive experience as a performer and singer across a range of musical styles, in addition to her years of teaching practice. Joanna headlined two sold out shows for her Pop–Up Jazz Club Tour in regional Queensland at the Gladstone Entertainment Centre and at Headricks Lane, Rockhampton, in 2018.  Joanna featured in the Queensland Music Festival in 2017 with vocal harmony group ‘ConChord’.  ‘ConChord’ were also featured artists at the Queensland Tourism Awards at the Brisbane Convention Centre in 2018. Joanna performs regularly around Brisbane at venues including Eat Street Markets and the Brisbane Jazz Club. Having already attained a Bachelor of Education and an ATCL with Distinction in Musical Theatre from Trinity College of London, Joanna is currently a candidate for the Bachelor of Music in Jazz Voice Performance at the Queensland Conservatorium, Griffith University

Passionate for languages, she effortlessly plays with words and melodies, navigating through traditional, modern and Latin Jazz. A natural storyteller, the charismatic singer holds the listener spellbound, making jazz approachable not only for jazz lovers. Susanna’s other passion besides music is languages. She holds a degree in French language and literature and is a fluent speaker of 6 languages.

Anna Jalkéus is a Boston based singer, harpist, and composer known as a powerful, creative musician who writes genre bending music with fearlessness and originality. She has received many national awards such as the JEN Young Composer Showcase, Swedish Monica Zetterlund and Ted Gärdestad awards, scholarship from STIM (Swedish ASCAP), and was awarded “Outstanding Performance” with her band in DownBeat Student Music Awards 2017. Eldafyre grew up in Shepparton, Victoria. His early 20’s were spent in the city of Melbourne. Now 38 he resides within the northern rivers of NSW or hidden in the mountains around Hepburn. I was witness as a little girl to the Beatle's invasion of America. Thank you God for my being born at that time. I often wonder what it is like for people who missed the phenomenon. Music was a big part of my formative years. My Parents were both very talented Lindy dancers, so we grew up listening to Benny Goodman, Louis Armstrong, and of course, Frank. On many a magical Saturday evening I watched my Parents gliding out to their dance, my Mother’s Emeraude lingering ever so gently. Ray Vasquez started in the 40’s & 50’s big band, Jazz & Latin Jazz era from Watts, Los Angeles California. Ray Vasquez recorded his album “In the Still of the Night” with George Hernandez and Oliver Berliner in 1959 with a 14 piece orchestra on RCA VICTOR RECORDS. Ray Vasquez worked with Musicians Horace Heidt, Charlie Barnet, Bobby Sherwood, Perez Prado, Lennie Niehaus, Paul Lopez, Manny Lopez, Chico Sesma, Anthony Ortega (his cousin), Phil Carreón, Lionel Hampton, & Don Tosti.
