Christine Tambakis

Be it performing in a night club in New York City....recording in the studio....or touring with her original band, Christine is at home!

"I grew up in a family of musicians, where you'd suddenly find yourself in the middle of 4-part harmony at the dinner table. We were so lucky to be constantly surrounded by music. From doo wop to the Jackson 5 to Bloodstone to the Doobie Brothers, we'd sing it all. Those are some of my favorite childhood memories. My folks would bust out with "...Grazing in the grass is a gas...baby, can you dig it?..." and suffice to say....we dug it, jumped on and got down. I'm so thankful for those moments. We relive them every time we get together and sing around the dinner table to this day."

"For me, the musical trip is ongoing. Music brings me immense joy, has forged special friendships and awesome and humbling experiences. I love getting involved in creative projects and always welcome new challenges. Bring it! I want to keep learning and growing as a musician. I'm so grateful and feel very lucky to have those opportunities, to follow my bliss and do what I love for a living. I wish that for everyone. Do what you love, put it out there with your whole heart... with your entire being... and create something beautiful. This world can never get enough of that. In fact, I think we need it now more than ever."

This atmosphere set the stage for her as a vocalist and performer. With a natural ear and extreme passion for music, she was self-taught and honed her craft through years of experience.

As a full-time professional musician for the past 25 years, she has brought her talent and infectious energy to various stages. From leading her own bands, to session/jingle vocalist to singing background for a multitude of artists, her love of music has led her on quite the musical journey.

Christine has shared the stage and/or recorded with such artists as John Oates, The Neville Brothers, Matt Schofield, Bernard Purdie, Jon Herington, Boyz II Men, Bobby Brown, Lynyrd Skynyrd, Sugarland, Gretchen Wilson, Vince Gil, Amy Grant, Bob Clearmountain, Debbie Davies, Mystic Bowie and P.J. Pacifico, as well as others. She has performed at venues such as B.B. Kings Blues Club NYC Main Stage, Saturday Night Live stage, Brooklyn Bowl, Rockwood Music Hall, The Bitter End, The Living Room, National Underground, Joe's Pub, The Cutting Room, Fairfield Theatre Company, Toad's Place, the historic Bijou Theatre and the United Nations and at major festivals including Gathering of the Vibes, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival, The Big Up and The Marion Country Music Festival.
