Anna Maria Flechero

Anna Maria Flechero descends from African-American and Filipino heritage, she was born in San Francisco and resides in the area still to this day. Even though she was raised by her grandmother, “Big Mama,” Anna Maria was heavily influenced musically by her mother, Leola; a pianist and choir leader for several local churches. Learning to play the piano by ear at any early age, she began composing songs and writing lyrics influenced in part by the Motown sounds of Marvin Gaye as well as the Latin rhythms of the Mission District where she lived.

Along with others, it was a natural progression that led Anna Maria to form a 13-piece Latin jazz band that performed at concerts on the same bill as such heavyweights as Santana, Pete Escovedo, Malo, and Graham Central Station. After many successful performances, Anna Maria ventured out as a solo artist and ventually was described as a "modern day blues singer” by the San Francisco Chronicle.

Corinne Bach has been singing professionally since the age of 17 in musicals as well as pop, rock, and jazz bands, but soon thereafter discovered her passion and talent for classical and operatic singing. After receiving several awards and scholarships towards her music education, Miss Bach received her Bachelor of Music degree in Voice Performance and continued on for her Master of Music. Miss Bach has had the opportunity to sing many leading and principal roles and perform in numerous venues across the United States. She has won several vocal competitions, been the soprano soloist in various chorales, and has also premiered vocal works by up-and-coming composers

Robin McKelle

From country music to rhythm and blues, Robin McKelle has made an entire career exploring the rich vastness of American music. With Impressions of Ella, McKelle returns to her traditional jazz roots and finds herself right at home.

“There was a part of me that wasn't writing so much,” says the seasoned vocalist. “I wasn't singing a lot, and I really missed [performing] live music. When I [started] to think about what I wanted to do for my next project, there was just so much of a feeling over the time of COVID; this feeling of nostalgia and longing for what felt like home. I felt it was the right moment to change gears and get back into that traditional swing and everything that helped me break into my career as an artist.”

Karen Young

Considered one of Canada's great jazz singers and Fusion/World specialist, Medieval music autodidact, songwriter, composer, arranger, Karen Young's vocal range and control and her passion for music have enabled her to attain success in various musical genres. Awarded Artist for Peace in 2003, Karen also received RIDEAU Career Prize the same year - Quebec's venues and events programmers professional association.

Album producer/coproducer, Karen also wrote, composed or arranged her eight CD titles under her label URSH Records since its inception in 1992, among which Canticum Canticorum - a specialized Medieval / Mediterranean / Jazz Fusion CD than sold almost 10,000 to date in Québec only.

Claire A.M. Daly

Hailed as one of the exciting new voices on the Scottish jazz scene, Irish singer Claire Daly takes a fresh approach to jazz singing. As well as familiar favourites played in unfamiliar ways, sets can include anything from vocal takes on the music of Herbie Hancock, Wayne Shorter, Charles Mingus or Miles Davis (to name a few); free improvisation over traditional folk melodies; and tunes sung in Italian, French, Portuguese or even Gaelic.
