NIKKI ARMSTRONG BIO Singer/Performer Nikki Armstrong has been compared to a wide varied of singers such as Anita O’Day, Tina Turner, Gladys Knight, Bonnie Raitt and Janis Joplin. Inspired by the great jazz singers, Ella Fitzgerald, Billie Holiday and Peggy Lee as well as the great Soul and R&B artists, James Brown and Tina Turner, She has studied music and voice in Boston, LA and New York, most notably with the great arranger Hal Schaefer (Peggy Lee, Marilyn Monroe). Writing and doing session work in Los Angles and Sydney, Australia for the first few years was fun, but it was live performing she craved and New York was the place to be. For the past 13 years Nikki has performed regularly all around the New York Tri-State area with her bands, Whole Lotta Blues (blues/rock/funk) and The Nikki Armstrong Project (jazz/blues)

But Kat Webb doesn’t miss a beat with “An Old Soul”, her solo debut album that spins sultry soul through beloved standards that include "Fever", "Blackbird" and "I Heard it Through the Grapevine". Like so many American vocalists, Webb, 26, gave her first solo performance in a Baptist church ��" in her hometown of Austin, Texas. “Back then, I didn't even know I wanted to be a singer. I just knew I loved singing along to Brandy in my bedroom and listening to Aretha Franklin's greatest hits on long road trips,” Webb says. When her vocal talent became clear Webb’s parents, both successful attorneys, provided her with private voice lessons. She also studied classically at McCallum Fine Arts Academy in Austin before entering Yale University, where she studied at Yale School of Music. Anna Lee Roberts recently began singing jazz standards professionally in the Twin Cities. She is a board-certified music therapist who works primarily in healthcare settings and leads a team of integrative therapists for her organization. Anna has nearly two decades of experience in classical music as a cellist, specializing in small ensembles and chamber music. As a vocalist, Anna is inspired by the stylings of Nina Simone, Julie London, Eva Cassidy, Billie Holiday, Diana Krall, Norah Jones, Karen MarGuth and Patti Page. She primarily performs with Twin Cities band, Metro Retro. Proceeds from the sale of their CD, "Crowd Pleasers," goes to support VEAP, Minnesota's largest food shelf.
