Nichola Hegarty

When I was 3 years old I began Irish Dancing and went on to become a professional dancer when I was 15 living in Tennessee working for Dolly Parton performing the Riverdance, becoming the All Ireland Champion dancer a few times over. Rhythm and music has always been in my blood as my father is also a musician and my biggest inspiration. Ive been singing since I was an infant and I realised I had a passion for singing when I was 6/7 years old. This was when I began transcribing songs before I even knew what I was doing. While doing this I was unknowingly developing my technique by listening to a variety of artists and learning from them. I began going to guitar, piano and contemporary vocal lessons when I was in my early teens. When I turned 16 I decided to attend BCFE and achieved a diploma in music performance. From there I wanted to develop my technique so I went on to achieve grade 4 in classical singing. It was there where I decided to attend Newpark school of Jazz and it is here where I hope to receive my BA Honors Degree in jazz performance. I adore every type of music and hope to continue learning and meet amazing musicians along the way :)
