Wendy Pedersen

Wendy Pedersen is one of South Florida’s favorite performers. Her high-energy vocal delivery, with deep, convincing emotion has been impacting audiences for many years. Wendy got her Master's degree in Jazz Performance from Florida Intrenational University and is a graduate of the University of Miami’s Studio Music and Jazz Vocal program. She began her singing career in high school, but her earliest memory is poring through her mom’s record collection, practically wearing out the vinyl on Elton John and Beatles records. Eventually, her heart found its way to jazz and it has felt like home ever since. Wendy has won many awards including the Southern Bell/Pace “Jazz Artist of the Year” and a Miami New Times “best vocalist”

Debbie Orta

Debbie Orta has a unique vocal sound, swinging hard, with echoes of the past and present; honey-dipped with a soulful edge. She incorporates Latin and Brazilian jazz into her vast repertoire, and sings in English, Portuguese and Spanish, with easy rhythmic delivery and impeccable taste. Her honesty and irony come across in her engaging stage presence. People find that they enjoy what she does and who she is, an artist and a friend. The release of her debut CD, Child’s Play, took place with a performance at WDNA radio station (88.9FM) in Miami, and features a stellar lineup of musicians and contributors

Sankofa

Born: January 1, 2002

In February 2006, Sankofa Strings, a progressive collective comprised of percussionist Sule Greg Wilson along with multi- instrumentalist Dom Flemons and singer Rhiannon Giddens, from the Grammy-Award Winning Carolina Chocolate Drops, were taped in concert for inclusion in the award-winning jug band documentary Chasin’ Gus’ Ghost, a film which chronicles a worldwide quest to assemble a comprehensive lineage to Gus Cannon, a seminal figure in the history of American music. In the 1920s, Gus helmed Cannon's Jug Stompers, one of America's premiere jug bands, whom regularly delighted rambunctious sold-out crowds from Alabama to New York with a showstopper called  "Minglewood Blues"

Yvonne Moneira

Born: September 8, 1978

Yvonne Moneira is a Jazz Vocalist, Flautist, and Songwriter with 25 years of performance experience. Trained as as classical flautist from the age of 8, Yvonne began singing professionally upon graduation of college. She has performed at many prestigious venues in Washington DC, Maryland, and New York City, including the legendary Blue Note, Birdland, Don't Tell Mama's, Nuyorican Poets Cafe, Bowery Poetry Club, 18th Street Lounge, Twins Jazz, Bohemian Caverns, Columbia Station, and Utopia. Born in Chad, Africa as the daughter of a Peace Corps delegate and a native African woman, and subsequently raised by her Chilean step-mother, Yvonne has always been drawn to latin and african rhythms

Jackie Jones

Jackie Jones, delivers a brand of performance excellence and professionalism that places her among an elite category of vocalists of exceptional caliber and unsurpassed capability. Her presence on the greater Newark/New Brunswick/New York Metro jazz scene is nothing short of prolific – it speaks volumes about what she has achieved since her emergence in the late 70’s and early 80’s — a musical journey that has carried her to destinations near and afar. A product of the Jazz program at Rutgers University – she studied with a coalition of legendary talents led by bassist Dr. Larry Ridley, pianist Kenny Barron, alto saxophonist James Spaulding, vibraphonist Steve Nelson and drummer Kenny Copeland who established a program of world renown during the late 70’s, 80’s and 90’s, Jackie received a solid foundation in composition and performance at the Mason Gross School of the Arts while earning a degree in psychology

Lindy Endres

Born: May 17, 1984

Music played a bit of a different role in the beginning for Lindy. Finding the perfect song to choreograph and dance to was key, as Lindy dreamt of becoming a professional dancer one day. Her childhood was filled with an array of dance styles, recitals and show choir competitions, always being labeled the 'dancer', never the 'singer'. Upon graduation from Sauk Prairie High School, Sauk City, WI, Lindy attended UW Stevens Point to receive her BA in dance. With her goal in sight, Lindy dove into the world of college dance, only to become sidetracked by the musical productions UWSP had to offer. These shows ignited Lindy's flame for singing, a talent which she thought she would never desire

Bobbi Jean Wilson

Bobbi J.'s musical education started with the solid foundation of classical technique yet eventually led her to broaden her musical horizons at Berklee College of Music with a degree in Pro Music Cum Laude. Her interest in the classical genre is now purely experimental, and she continues to find deeper enjoyment in jazz, blues, and bossa styles. Her influences tend to be artists that, through solid technique, are able to vocally express undeniable emotional depth. Maria Callas, Jeff Buckley, Ann Wilson, Geoff Tate, Shirley Horn, and George Michael are a few.
