Grace Shin

Singer, songwriter and performer Grace gives the music she sings a touching and soulful feeling as she effortlessly blends jazz, pop and R&B together in both her style and delivery.

Grace is a New York based artist who came to the United States at the age of sixteen from her native homeland of South Korea. As a child, she studied both classical and jazz piano and later began to compose her own music. When Grace became more focused on the attainment of a career in the music business, she decided to prepare herself by attending the Professional Performing Arts School and later went on to earn her BFA Degree in Jazz Voice from the City College of New York, both located in New York City.

To gain as much performing experience as possible (which she knew would eventually help her as both an artist and performer), she has performed at a variety of shows with the Song of Solomon Gospel Choir, performing with established artists such as Mary J. Blige, Chaka Khan and Gladys Knight. While with the choir she also won an award for Best Gospel Soloist from the Black Music Caucus of NY International School Gospel Choir Olympics.

Presently, Grace is also in the process of preparing her first debut CD which will contain her original songs. And as her love of music has only increased over the years, she has chosen to share her knowledge with tomorrow's future musicians as vocal and piano teacher at various music schools located in Queens, New York. She is also in the process of creating her own blog, pursuing acting assignments and fashion modeling on a part time basis, as well!
