Andy De Campos

From childhood in Toronto, Andy was mostly moved by classical music and powerful orchestrations; especially of film soundtracks. Jazz found him in his teens; then the crooners. He once heard a a famous singer say: "you wanna learn how to sing, listen to Frank". Although being only slightly aware of that part of music world Andy nevertheless fell quickly in love with classic American pop music from the 1940s, 50s and 60s. He absorbed daily doses of the recordings from Columbia, Capitol and Reprise and found himself fascinated by the complex big band and orchestra arrangements behind the lyrics

Susanna Bartilla

Raised to the sounds of Ella, Billie, Frank and Peggy Lee singing the Great American Songbook, the Berlin born Parisian vocalist Susanna Bartilla always knew she would be a jazz singer.

She inherited an unconditional love for the genre from her father, a crooner and sax player, who regularly took her out to see live music from an early age on, and it has often been said that she owes her sure sense of timing and swing to her gypsy grandfather.

All through her childhood she sang the alto voice in a choir and after moving to Paris aged 18, quite naturally studied to be an opera singer. After spending some years touring and recording with a professional vocal baroque group and gaining valuable stage experience, she found her way back to her roots and studied vocal jazz at renowned EDIM Jazz school and with some of the best French and American vocalists.

Pedro Ruy-Blas

Born: July 7, 1949

Born in Madrid in 1949, his talent for music appeared at an early age. In 1968 he became a part of 'Los Canarios'. He subsequently began his career as a solo singer, when in 1970, the song 'A los que hirió el amor', went to number one on the top sellers charts. Inmediately following this record, Pedro Ample (his true name) chose Ruy-Blas as his new stage name, in honor of probably the best theatrical work of the immortal french writer, Victor Hugo. Between 1970 and 1974, he recorded a few albums some of which were censured because they were considered 'politically incorrect' at the time (this was during the dictatorship of Franco). In the year 1975 Pedro recorded for Polydor his first record as a composer and producer, it was entitled ' Luna llena' (Full Moon) and this recording brought together a group of young musicians (Jorge Pardo, Tomas San Miguel, Jose Antonio Galicia, etc), who today are outstanding artists in their own right that also record in the US for the label Miami Records. One year later, he recorded an album entitled 'Dolores'

Tatiana Eva-Marie

Tatiana Eva-Marie was born in a musical family, in Switzerland, to renowned film composer Louis Crelier and solo violinist Anca Maria. She grew up surrounded by classical music on one side and jazz and music from the seventies on the other. Tatiana Eva-Marie calls herself a “recording studio rat”, and she started her career as a singer at age 4 when she recorded a duo album with famous children’s performer Henri Des. Two years later, she recorded her first solo album and featured in her first professional theatre play. She fell in love with the stage and has been performing ever since. During her childhood, Tatiana Eva-Marie performed regularly in various stage productions and sang as a guest star in her father’s New Orleans style band The Cotton Club Jazz Orchestra for the closing ceremony of the Vevey Comedy Film Festival

Stefan Lindgren

Born: July 14, 1967

My name is, as you probably already understood, Stefan Lindgren and I'm a former hardrock-drummer who got bored and tired of musicians that could'nt combine seriousness with a laugh. I started writing songs for the fun of it, very eclectic though... In early 2008 I started working on my debut album JAZZISH together with the Johansson brothers. And the title of the album says it all, it will be great songs, with a touch of jazz. Patiently is the first song from the album. John Lester

Bassist and vocalist John Lester has had one foot in rock and the other solidly set in jazz since he started playing bass. At age 14, John was asked by two fellow students to join them in a garage rock band. They had cleverly figured out that if John joined the school jazz ensemble as the bassist, he could use their electric bass and amp, and thus be in the rock band as well. So, not yet knowing how to play bass, John jumped in with both feet. One would take a path leading forward through rock, progressive rock, funk, and R&B, eventually writing and singing his own material, releasing 3 independent CDs, and touring around the world with his unique solo bass/vocal show
