I am a graduate of Pedagogic school in Prague and Conservatory of Jaroslav Ježek (major - violin). In 2003 I received a talent scholarship at Berklee College of Music in Boston. I studied jazz violin with Rob Thomas and Matt Glaser. I earned there a place on Dean's List for excellent academic performance during Fall semester 2003 and Spring semester 2004. Since April 2005 I have performed as the soloist of ANNA MLINARIKOVÁ BAND. Our repertoire consists of our own compositions and also of jazz arrangements of virtuoso violin compositions and film music. The New York Times called her music "grandiloquent beauty that transitions easily from grooves to big cascades to buoyant swing"(Giovanni Russonello), Meg Okura is a jazz composer and violinist and the founder of the Pan Asian Chamber Jazz Ensemble based in New York. In the last decade, she has won over two dozen prizes and honors, including the 2023 ISJAC Fundamental Freedom Commission and International Women In Music’s 2023 Portland Jazz Composer’s Prize.

Over the last 18 years, her ensembles have graced iconic venues in New York, such as Birdland Jazz Club, Blue Note, Dizzy’s, and Knitting Factory, as well as the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C., K.L. Jazz Festival in Malaysia, and other performances in the U.S., Israel, Serbia, and Japan.

Elektra Kurtis is a violinist and composer of Greek origin, leader of Ensemble Elektra. Now a resident of New York City, she has also lived in Poland, Greece and Finland. Elektra has performed with such notable artists as Lester Bowie, Gerry Mulligan, Paquito d'Rivera, Lionel Hampton, Max Roach, Ray Barreto, Simon Shaheen and Israel “Cachao” Lopez. Classically trained and currently Principal Second Violin in the National Symphony Orchestra of Ireland, David's 30 year career has seen him take up posts in symphony and ballet orchestras across Europe. However, the last three years has seen him follow one of his earliest loves, the music of Stefan Grappelli. In early 2002, he teamed up with Dublin jazz pianist Josh Johnston and the pair have toured around Ireland since, building up an audience with their enjoyable, melodic music.
