Arkady Gotesman

Arkady Gotesman is one of the most resourceful Lithuanian percussionists. In addition to playing jazz, he performs contemporary academic music, writes scenarios for performances and installations, composes, records and performs music for theatre, silent film taper, collaborates with dancers. Arkady Gotesman teaches drums at Jazz Department of Vilnius Academy of Music and Arts. Gotesman’s percussion can be heard in Oskaras Koršunovas’ theatre productions, and Anatolijus Šenderovas’ ballet Desdemona, choreographer Loreta Juodkaitė’s production “To Disobey”. Together with actress Dalia Michelevičiūtė he designed a theatre project “The Station in the City N” by W.Szymborska’s poetry

Dalius Naujo

Dalius Naujokaitis began his musical career in the late eighties and was an avant-garde feature of the Vilnius jazz scene performing with Juozas Milašius, Vladimir Chekasin, Petras Vyšniauskas, Skirmantas Sasnauskas and others. He moved to New York in 1995 and made an impressive entry to the NYC scene with a series of original solo performances at Jonas Mekas’ Anthology Film Archives. Shortly he found Free Music on Second Street group, and partaking in the Now We Are Here Orchestra’ projects with Jonas Mekas (vocal). At the same time Dalius collaborated with famous master of avant-garde film Ken Jacobs in “Lumiere/Naujokaitis/Jacobs: Nervous System Concerts, also with modern dance group “Limbic Six” and Tiny Mythic Theatre. His music and drumming is featured in films by Jonas Mekas “Happy Birthday To John Lennon,” “On My Way To Fujijama I Saw,” “This Side of Paradise” and in film by Moira Tierney “Circus.” He has played and recorded with a variety of New York bands such as Kenny Wolleson’s Himalayas and Wollesonics, Art Baron, Butch Morris, Joey Barron, Briggan Krauss, Jeff Ballard, Brazilian Girls, Tim Keiper, Jonathon Haffner, Otomo Yoshihide, Rocco John Group, and On Davis’ Cartoon Satellite. Dalius leads and drums for New York based avant-garde music group Untyte, which performs ancient Lithuanian folk tunes with a downtown NY edge.

Juozas Milašius

Guitarist, composer and author of various performances, the enfant terrible of the Lithuanian jazz scene. Probably no other Lithuanian jazz musicians has stirred up so much controversy as the experimenting conceptualist Juozas Milašius. Having made his stage debut in 1986, he earned the reputation of the most uncompromising jazzman in Lithuania, entering the areas of total free, uncontrollable noise and bizarre sounds, provoking both unconditional admiration and relentless opposition. Completely overtaken by the guitar, Juozas Milašius has tested the limits of this instrument playing solo and experimenting in various projects with improvisers, electronic and experimental sound artists.

Straizys was born in 1988 in Vilnius, capital city of Lithuania.At age of seven he started learning at school of art, where classical music was his first priority. Kestutis Stanciauskas organized "Streetdancer" as a quartet in 1973. The fundamental purpose for the ensemble was and is to play original compositions using improvisation and original composition as the foundation for creativity. By 1974 Streetdancer released their first self-titled album on Future Records. This first release gained a four star review in Downbeat
