From being a featured sax soloist with alumni from the Basie and Ellington orchestras through his headlining vocal performances at Manhattan galas in honor of cultural icons like Oprah, David Letterman, Mayor Michael Bloomberg, Hugh Jackman, Daniel Craig and Martha Stewart, Victor Lesser has embodied the excitement and diversity of New York City’s thriving, always evolving contemporary music scene. A true musical double threat, the versatile and charismatic Manhattan born and raised performer is a saxophone virtuoso and a dynamic, critically heralded singer. Lesser has drawn on his jazz training and his love for R&B and the Great American Songbook to fashion an exciting and diverse career that transcends genres, eras and easy categorizations. Lesser's musical influences range from Sinatra, Bennett and Louis Jordan to Joe Turner, James Brown, Ray Charles, Donny Hathaway, Lester Young and Charlie Parker - has been a featured performer at the North Sea Jazz Festival, Heineken Jazz Festival and tours in Europe, Japan and the Caribbean
