RockTronix

The RockTronix is a touring Rock Band fused with Electronica elements. Individually, each member of The RockTronix have worked with a "who's who" of artist's/musician's in the entertainment and music business. In 2014, they collectively formed and recorded their debut CD, "Magnificent Obsession CD" (To be released forthcoming on Blue Canoe Records). Additionally, the entire process was documented in a 43 min. Documentary Movie dubbed by the same name, "Magnificent Obsession DVD".

Joe Hakim

Joe Hakim - Musician/Educator/Composer Joe Hakim earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Music Performance from William Paterson University's Jazz Studies Program under the tutelage of the world renowned Rufus Reid, graduating Cum Laude. During this time, Joe won First Place in Downbeat Magazine’s student competition. He majored in Double Bass, studying with the Grammy-winning Dr. Todd Coolman, and minored in Piano, studying with Noreen Lienhard. Joe also had the opportunity to take lessons with the legendary Dave Holland, a leading force in the jazz world for over 40 years. While in school, Joe had the chance to study and perform with such luminaries as Mulgrew Miller, Vic Juris, Horacee Arnold, John Rielly, Armen Donelian, Harold Mabern, Jim McNeely, Paul Myers, Steve Wilson, Ralph Peterson, and Dave Samuels

Maroon Corey

Maroon Corey is a vocalist and trumpet/ flugelhorn player originally from the Charlotte area, now residing in Richmond for some years. Performing in various Jazz styles, he has recently collaborated with Gene Pendleton's contemporary group Sketches for selected dates.

The Jazz Professors

The Jazz Professors are a top-charting (JazzWeek) sextet composed of real professors from the rising star in music education, the program in Jazz Studies at the University of Central Florida (UCF). Professors who also play professionally throughout the year, the group has made several changes over the years since 2009, but currently the roster includes: Director of Jazz Studies, saxophonist Jeff Rupert, legendary drummer Marty Morell, best known for his work with the Bill Evans trio, bassist Richard Drexler of the Jeff Berlin Trio, pianist Per Danielsson, guitarist Bobby Koelble, and the more recent addition of trombonist Michael Wilkinson bring wide ranging experience from many wellsprings of the music together into an impressive whole. Cristina Pato

Born: August 17, 1980

Cristina Pato has already opened historical new paths for the Gaita (Galician bagpipe). In 1998 Cristina Pato became the first female Gaita player releasing a solo album and since then she has collaborated with world music, jazz, classical and experimental artists (including Chicago Symphony, Yo-Yo Ma, The Chieftains, Arturo O’Farril, World Symphony Orchestra, Paquito D'Rivera). Her unique and powerful style full of passion and energy has been acclaimed by The New York Times as “a virtuosic burst of energy” or the BBC as “the Galician bagpipe diva”. Cristina Pato fuses the influences of Latin music, jazz, pop and contemporary music, and uses her artistry and unprecedented virtuosic skill to bring her musical vision to life

Maarten Ornstein

Maarten Ornstein is a Dutch musician based in Amsterdam. He plays tenor saxophone, clarinet and bass clarinet and also works as a composer and arranger. On occasion he plays tarogato, electric saxophone, MPC and laptop computers. He leads the free funk ensemble DASH! and performs as a soloist. Additionally, he plays with lutist Mike Fentross, singer Rima Khcheich, poet and singer Jeannine Valeriano. and pianist Sunna Gunnlaugs. Maarten Ornstein endorses Légère reeds and is a member of Splendor Amsterdam. Theo Jorgensmann & Albrecht Maurer - Duo Melencolia

Born: 1999

20 years of collaboration as a duo. Theo Jörgensmann and Albrecht Maurer met 1992 in a broadcasting project of Deutschlandfunk by the German/Spanish composer Maria de Alvear. Shortly afterwoods Theo Jörgensmann founded his Werkschau Ensemble, a quintet featuring Donja Djember on cello, Rainald Schückens on bass clarinet, Achim Krämer on drums and Albrecht Maurer on violin. This group played on many festivals, did radio productions and released a CD on Konnex Records. It was a leading group in Germany in the early nineties combining jazz, chamber music and free improvisation with a unique sound

Boldin Alonzo

Photography and music are a way of life for Alonzo and the past 20 years has proven it. He perfected his craft in school and out of school. From the first camera (Pentax) to what he uses now (Canon 7D), he has traveled after high school and after he recieved a degree in Photography at The Germain school of photography where he utilized my skills for lighting, technique and dark room positions. He runs a booming photography company (Zo Photography) along with his film and production company as well (Boldin/Moreu Productions). Barcelona Jazz Orquestra

The first permanent Big Band in Barcelona The aim of the Barcelona Jazz Orquestra is to bring jazz closer to the general public, respecting the accuracy and proximity typical of the genre. The BJO combines tradition and innovation, merging a classic repertoire - Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Thad Jones, Dizzy Gillespie - with a great variety of contemporary composers and arrangers. The great musicians who accompany the orchestra and the excellent combination of repertoires make this band approachable to both jazz lovers (either classical or modern) and to people who have never listened to jazz before, and even to children, as we are working to introduce jazz in schools.
