Tim Gerwing

Tim Gerwing was born in Canada, but experienced his childhood in Germany. Early lessons in classical piano gave way to experimentation with jazz, electronic, new age, progressive rock/pop, and Middle and Far Eastern musics. The purchase of his first synthesizer and electric guitar in the late 80's were turning points and very much shaped what was to become his signature sound. Summer of 2002 saw the release of Gerwing's first solo album, "B2B". The album received international radio airplay in Canada, Japan, Holland, Australia, Poland, Russia, and the USA. Music from BTB was recently featured on the Genie Award winning "Suzuki Speaks". Gerwing's 2nd major release, "The Butterfly Effect", is now available and receiving critical acclaim in Canada, Europe, Siberia, and Asia. Curtis Andrews is a Canadian-based musician with global persuasions. A percussionist/composer/teacher who creates music that is informed by his many years of experience with West African, South Indian and jazz traditions yet transcends categorization. As a performer/collaborator, he has toured and recorded nationally and internationally with dozens of artists from across Canada in a myriad of styles, on drumset, mridangam, mbira, and percussion. His debut album The Offering of Curtis Andrews (2008) was an award-winning effort and his music has been described as “engaging, uplifting and warmly human” (Exclaim! Magazine), “a rich multicultural buffet” (The Wholenote), and “an eclectic, jazzy and rich international music palette” (Percussive Notes)

Gordon Grdina

Gordon Grdina is a Vancouver based Oud/Guitarist whose sound is a combination of his interests in mainstream jazz, free-form improvisation and Arabic classical music.

A protégé of jazz great Gary Peacock, he is a well-respected contributor to the jazz and world music scenes constantly being sought out for projects that need a fresh sound. On Guitar Gordon leads the Vancouver groove trio Loose Acoustic which has recorded two critically acclaimed CD’s with Skrank Records. They are currently managed by Turner Music and Events and are mixing their next Cd release with Maximum Jazz.

Cory Weeds

Saxophonist Cory Weeds has been a professional musician for the better part of 15 years.

As a member of popular Vancouver band People Playing Music he toured Canada, the United States and Europe and recorded was a key part in the success of the band's Sette CD released in 1997. In 1998 he formed his instrumental band CRASH that he co-led with tenor saxophonist Jerry Cook. The band released its first CD entitled Crash in 1998 and toured Canada the same year playing at the prestigious Montreal Jazz Festival. The band went back into the studio in 1999 to record their sophomore release Candyshop
