“Dimopoulous makes no effort to withhold his admiration for hard-bop guitarists such as {{m: Grant Green = 7203}}, pre-Verve Wes Montgomery and Kenny Burrell. He is a technical master, deftly constructing his solos forays. Karlafti is an obvious acolyte of the great Blue Note organists {{m: Jimmy Smith = 4432}} and {{m: Big John Patton = 10161}} et al. With {{m: Joey DeFrancesco = 6194}} sadly gone, Karlafti (along with {{m: Tony Monaco = 2288}}) is a Hammond talent worthy of note. Upbeat Mood is just that.”
