Godfrey was born in Masaka, Uganda,East Africa. His music involves fusion of sounds form Ugandan traditional music instruments with the western featuring cultural dialogue between styles of Uganda with the diverse styles spanning the globe. He use such instruments as the Ugandan Lyre, xylophone, thumb piano, percussions the accordion and guitars.
