Three generations of unique Dutch musicians find each other in a common urge to improvise in which aesthetics, poetry and ensemble play have a major role. The listener is taken to an almost dreamlike new reality. Joost Lijbaart – drums / percussion Sanne Rambags – vocals and poetry Bram Stadhouders – guitar and electronics Under the Surface is a Dutch band formed in 2015 by drummer Joost Lijbaart (1967), guitarist Bram Stadhouders (1987) and vocalist Sanne Rambags (1994). The group released their succesfull debut album in 2017 which was nominated for an Edison award and bought the group to major festivals all over the world. In 2019 the group released their second album (Trinity, Challenge records) which was also nominated for an Edison. The last 7 years the group focused on fully improvised concerts and a lot of international touring
