Diego Urcola

Born in Buenos Aires, Argentina, three‑time Grammy nominee Diego Urcola has been a member of the Paquito D'Rivera Quintet since 1991. Additionally, the oft‑in‑demand trumpeter performs regularly with the legendary saxophonist Jimmy Heath and the Dizzy Gillespie Alumni All‑Star Big Band. Urcola's musical studies began at the age of 9, in the Music Department of the Colegio Ward where his father Ruben served as director. He continued his studies and in 1988 he received the title of Profesor Nacional de Música from the Conservatorio Nacional de Musica. Subsequently, having received a scholarship to study abroad, the trumpeter and flugelhorn player moved to Boston where he attended the prestigious Berklee College of Music

David Weiss

Moving jazz forward has been David Weiss’s modus operandi ever since he appeared on the scene in the late eighties when he established himself in New York by touring and/or recording with the likes of Freddie Hubbard, Charles Tolliver, Billy Harper, Bobby Hutcherson, Slide Hampton, James Moody, Tom Harrell, Louis Hayes, Muhal Richard Abrams, and Billy Hart, among many others. Weiss was born and raised in Queens, New York and began taking piano lessons when he was ten years old. He added trumpet to his arsenal when he was 13. David S. Rydelnik

Dave Rydelnik is a trumpeter/vocalist and entrepreneur. He has been playing trumpet for 20 years, and singing nearly all of his life. He lives in Schenectady New York. Although his training as a jazz musician started late in his life, he has studied with many great players, including Dan Dobek, Nat Phipps, Pat Harbison, Peter Bellino Ray Vega, Jim Rotondi and Jon Faddis. Dave comes from a family rooted in a musical background. His grandfather, Bill Channon, worked as an arranger for Buddy Rich, Bob Chester and Buddy Fischer's bands in the 40's. His grandfather started the formal music program in the Simsbury, CT public school system in 1956 and was the high school band director there, among other things

Annette Neuffer

Born: January 15, 1966

Annette Neuffer began studying jazz trumpet at the music high school in Graz. Two years later she attended the Stuttgart music high school and studied with Claus Stötter, gaining a diploma. She also took other music courses before embarking on her professional career and playing with Pete York, the Bobby Burgess Bigband Explosion, Jimmy Woode, Curtis Fuller, the Sunday Night Orchestra and Milt Hinton, among others. Meanwhile, and quite unexpectedly, she discovered that she had a natural talent for singing and she was engaged as a vocalist by the Munich-based American bandleader and trumpeter, Al Porcino, who's band she has been joining since 1995

LINA ALLEMANO is a Canadian trumpeter, improviser, prolific composer, and bandleader with an active international career, performing and recording cutting-edge contemporary music primarily in experimental, conceptual, improvised and jazz settings, but also working in a wide array of other genres. Born and raised in Edmonton Alberta, Allemano moved to Toronto in 1993. She is educated in both classical and jazz trumpet and specializes in extended technique on her instrument. Allemano now splits her time between the music scenes in TORONTO and BERLIN, and she runs her own internationally-acclaimed record label LUMO RECORDS.

Charlie Porter

Internationally acclaimed and Grammy Award-winning trumpeter and composer Charlie Porter first cut his teeth on the New York jazz scene in the late ’90s, while simultaneously studying classical trumpet performance at The Juilliard School under the tutelage of famed trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis. Jonathan Saraga

Born: August 26, 1987

Jonathan Saraga is a New York City-based trumpeter, composer, arranger, producer, educator and Doctor of Musical Arts. He won the International Trumpet Guild Jazz Solo Competition in 2007 and competed as a finalist in the 2009 Carmine Caruso International Jazz Trumpet Solo Competition. He has been selected for four intensive and/or residency programs including the 2011 School for Improvisational Music Summer Intensive Program, the 2015 Banff International Summer Intensive Program in Jazz and Creative Music, the 2019 Banff Early Fall Musicians in Residence program and the 2021 Chashama chaNorth Artist in Residence program. Additional residency related accolades include finalist status in the 2021 Haleakala National Park Artist in Residence program and waitlist status for the 2021 Millay Colony of the Art’s Core Residency program. Jonathan has also competed as a finalist in three jazz-trumpet vacancy auditions—the Afro-Latin Jazz Orchestra (2020), U.S. Navy Band Commodores (2021) and the Air Force Academy Band (2021). In 2022, he became a selected member of the Recording Academy’s New York Chapter.

Carl Spencer

Carl Spencer encompasses a wide range of styles both "Hot" and "Sweet", being equally at home with the pretty Bix Beiderbecke-school of phrasing, the angular clipped syncopation of the Original Dixieland Jazzband, the biting attack and bitter blues feelings of Oliver, Keppard and Ladnier. He also portrays the many Dance-Band styles of the '20's and '30's, which allied to his mastery of mutes adds to his reputation as one of Britain's hottest players in the idiom.
