Bill McBirnie is a jazz and Latin flute specialist based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He has studied with renowned American flutist, Samuel Baron, distinguished Canadian flutist and composer, Robert Aitken, as well as Cuban charanga legend, Richard Egues. Bill has also been solicited by no less than Sir James Galway to serve as his resident Jazz Flute Specialist at Sir James' official web site. Bill is well known for his outstanding technique. Mark Godfrey

Bassist Mark Godfrey is quickly becoming one of the new faces in Canadian jazz. Hailing from Southwestern Ontario and currently living in Toronto, he has established himself a mainstay in this national community and was named the 2019 Emerging Jazz Artist by the Toronto Arts Foundation. Composing and performing for many years with his contemporary jazz group, Pram Trio, Mark’s work as a co-leader, bassist, and composer has garnered international recognition. In 2014, this group was awarded the Grand Prix de Jazz from the Montreal Jazz Festival and has performed as a feature artist at jazz festivals across Canada including those in Victoria, Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax, and Rimouski. Following the release of Pram Trio’s most recent album in 2016, Mark began composing for five-piece jazz ensemble and in 2017 started the Mark Godfrey Quintet

Rob Clutton is a Toronto-based composer/performer who works in the intersections of composition and improvisation, in long-term projects in which the relationship of the musicians has a central but incalculable role. Rob’s impetus to play the bass comes from listening, allowing inspiration to reside in a sonic imaginary, in which the sound of the bass is the same as the tree singing is the same as the human listening. Scott D Marshall

Toronto - based saxophonist, composer, producer, band leader, and educator Scott Marshall is highly sought after for his skills within the jazz community, and professional jobbing scenes of his city. A skilled composer and arranger, Scott’s compositions have been featured on five of his own releases: Dream Logic Project (2018) Nihahi Ridge (2014), Vignettes (2010), Nine Moments of Time (2007), and Face it (2002), as well as two releases by the group Out of Order: What Now (2000), and Out of Order (1997). Scott’s compositions have also been featured in the feature length movie The Anniversary by Canadian film maker Valarie Buhagiar, and the short film The Loss by Consistent C Films

Marie Goudy

Born in Toronto, trumpet player/vocalist Marie Goudy started her professional career at the age of sixteen. By the age of nineteen, she had already played with many notable musicians including Benny Golson, Cleo Laine and Maria Schneider. Since then she has performed with Michael Buble, Donny McCaslin, Glass Tiger and many others.

She graduated from the University of Toronto's Masters in Jazz Performance program in 2017. She has made her mark on the Toronto music scene playing jazz, funk, mariachi, folk and Latin music, and was a featured soloist in the 2018 SOCAN Awards. Marie has played on three JUNO-nominated albums with folk-funk singer/songwriter Alysha Brilla and toured to France, Chile, Yellowknife, and Singapore with that group. In 2020, Marie came in second place in the Toronto Star Readers’ Choice Awards for Best Local Musician or Band.
