Tony Tixier

Born: February 26, 1986

Tony Tixier was born in 1986 in Montreuil, France. At the young age of 6, he started studying classical piano at the conservatory. One year later, he made his first stage appearance. He studied choral, classical harmony and counterpoint, as well as writing and composition. He graduated Honors DFE in Musical Training (12 years) and DFE in Classical Piano with Pascal Gallet (14 years). In 2009, Tony produced his first album, Parallel Worlds, which consisted of a septet with bold orchestral writing that defines itself as a laboratory of sounds and climates, perfectly illustrating his clear interest in orchestration and musical research

Born: December 28, 1986

Austrian drummer and composer Mathias Ruppnig is an indemand musician of the european jazz scene. With his own projects he tours Europe and Asia regularly.

As a leader and composer he released six records on well established labels such as british based Whirlwind Recordings.

Since 2014 he is based in Berlin, Germany.

He collaborated with musicians like Kurt Rosenwinkel, Jim Rotondi, Ben van Gelder, Charles Altura, Jeremy Pelt, China Moses or Justin Stanton (Snarky Puppy).

Following his critically acclaimed albums square and The Spinning, Austrian drummer and composer Mathias Ruppnig returns with his third studio album, FOAM.
