Toni Vaquer

Born in Majorca, he is a promise of today’s jazz piano scene. He trained at the Conservatori Liceu and was later on awarded a scholarship by the Berklee College of Music in 2013, where he studied a master’s degree in composition and arrangements under the guidance of renowned professors. As an arranger, he has worked on arranging the Tribute to Salvador Font Mantequilla, the new project with the Glissando Big Band. Toni Vaquer prepared the unreleased arrangements of the songs by ‘Big Eril‘, the big band that assembled El Petit de Cal Eril for the Altaveu festival in Sant Boi del Llobregat

The Voodoo Children Collective is a 30-piece ensemble, a mixture of local and international musicians, led by Mallorcan composer, pianist and arranger Toni Vaquer; an ever-changing ensemble created by Vaquer to perform his original music, always writing in a personalized way for the musicians who are in the band at the time. Voodoo children's musical content is a mixture of written and improvised music, with diverse orchestrations, taking advantage of the wide sound possibilities of such a band.
