Although Tiana Major9 fell in love with R&B and hip-hop first, her fascination with their origins quickly turned from curiosity to a genuine obsession with jazz. “Jazz is free and uncompromising,” she says, using two words that also aptly describe the East London-born artist and her music. Growing up in a Jamaican household, Tiana was surrounded by many different styles of music – everything from reggae to garage.
